The Tri Core Cervical Support Neck Pillow supports your neck in its most natural position. If you look your cervical spine from the side there is a natural “C” curve. The trapezoid shaped center of this support pillow provides maximum comfort and flexibility. This pillow can be used for side sleeping or back sleeping.
The special design of the tri core cervical support neck pillow is great for the following reason:
- Relieve muscle spasms in the neck
- Relieve headaches, especially ones in the back of the head
- Loss of cervical lordosis, keeping your neck in the right position during sleep
- Prevents the chances of waking up with a stiff neck
- Be more comfortable during sleep, thereby allowing yourself to get into a deeper sleep
- Neck Sprain or Neck Strain
- Whiplash type injuries
- Arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
- Ligament Strains
One thing to be wary about: It can take a few days to get used to a new cervical support pillow. Keep in mind that your head and neck are not used to being in a new position. For some people who use a new cervical support pillow- they enjoy a great sleep the very first night. For others who may suffer from neck pain or have a lot of sensitivity, it may take up to 2 weeks to get used to the pillow. Give your neck muscles, and your upper back muscles a chance to relax and adjust to a new sleeping position. Remember, soreness in the neck and upper back is normal and to be expected for some people.
Also, the Tri core cervical support pillow is a medium size pillow. If you are 5’Ft or below, consider yourself petit framed, or just prefer a smaller pillow, consider the Mid Core Cervical Support Neck Pillow or the Small Linear Gravity Neck Pillow.
Instructions for using the Tri Core Cervical Support Neck Pillow
Back Sleeper If you are a back sleeper, start by using the smaller lobe of the support pillow. You can continue using the pillow this way if you find that you are getting a great nights sleep. I If you feel that your neck needs more support: Once you are comfortable (can take up to 2 weeks), turn the pillow around and use the larger lobe of the support pillow. When sleeping on your back, the center of the pillow cradles your head to support your neck in its most natural position.
Side Sleeper Use the wings of the pillow if you are a side sleeper. The sides of the pillow are designed to support your head and neck even when you roll over during the night time.
