Before choosing your neck pillow you often want to research what that particular pillow helps with the most. Some can be designed more for relieving specific conditions like headaches or snoring, some may be more for muscle tension relief, and some may help with all of the above. A good pillow will describe what it’s best for and how to use it effectively.
All neck pillows will have some kind of support roll built in to help support and improve the neck curvature. This, in and of itself, will help reduce neck pain and other common symptoms. Restoring the curvature in the neck takes the majority of stress off of the nerves allowing the body to work like it should. It helps you move your neck like you should be able too, and do so without discomfort, and it helps keep the muscles relaxed and in harmony with other muscles.
So, neck pillows have a neck roll but some can be more firm than other, some have ice or heat built in, some are made with different materials, and so on…
Do you research, listen to what others have said about what’s worked for them, and try some pillows – sometimes you just never know until you try it.
