I just came back from my cousins wedding in Canada which involved quite a bit of traveling. I can tell you from my own personal experience that it’s so easy to strain your neck or to exacerbate a neck injury. Sometimes, it’s just so hard to get comfortable on the plane, luckily I use a travel pillow, which helps a ton.
On top of just trying to get comfortable, there’s carrying luggage, lifting bags, stress… yeesh! One tie I recall falling asleep without my travel pillow and I think my head was bobbing around. I woke up because I essentially gave my self some mini- whiplash- there must have been some turbulence and my head jerked to the side. Needless to say, my neck was sore afterwards.
That’s just one example of neck pain while traveling; and it doesn’t just happen on a plane, it can be in the car, on a bus, even just from sleeping in a bed you’re not used to or with a different type of pillow. The best option is to take a U-shaped pillow for the actual trip and if you need a good neck pillow to sleep on at night that’s made for traveling, use the Linear Gravity Pillow.

I'm traveling at least twice a week, and usually by air. I've had a lot of luck relieving some of the travel pains with the U-Shaped pillow. Now, if only we could do something about those screaming babies! Thanks for posting.

I always try to have a travel pillow with me on a plane. It definitely helps with neck pain and I can get in a great nap too!
