Over time any pillow may lose support. In most cases, it's time to order another pillow. A neck pillow that is built to have the neck support for you while you sleep, will lose its support. There are a couple factors:
- Depending on the weight of someone's head
- Has the pillow been washed
- Is it used every night?
- Is the pillow being slept on with wet or oily hair
It is normal for most fiber pillows to lose something after awhile. If it didn't it be to firm. In fact, to keep it fairly soft and comfortable, it is made without over stuffing. This can make the pillow very firm and typically most people aren't used to that.
However, if you like firm, we now have a special order traction pillow that has extra fiber and it is labeled "firm". Another family of firm pillows is the tri core family- included is the tri-core standard, mid-core and petite core. All are densely packed and very firm pillows. They will also last you a long time, as the fiber breaks down less.
